Is the Sport as capable as other trims?

I am in the market for a new truck. I would like the CRew cab v8 with 3.92 gears, brake controller, leather, powered seats, trailer hitch. Don't want tow mirrors. I like the looks of the sport but for some reason I am worried it is more geared towards street performance like my previous trailblazer SS. Can the sport handle very light off roading like back roads to camping and fishing sites and the MN/WI winters. Can it tow and haul as much as other trims? I like the outdoorsman but it lacks creature comforts. I think only thing sport is missing that I would like are tow hooks. I can add skid plates easily. I can always swap to all terrain tires as well. The rebel is awesome but this will be my daily driver and unlike others I want 4auto for the patchy snow and ice in winters.
Thanks

Thanks

I recently bought a '14 Sport CC with every bell and whistle you can get (minus the 32 gal gas tank). I've already used it for exactly what you just described (minus snow as of right now). Zero concerns with it's capability. Mine is rated up to 10,000 towing (obviously what I tow isn't close to that weight), and a little over 1400lbs payload.

I ended up with Rambox too - and love having it. Some people prefer the slightly wider bed for hauling something like an ATV - that might not fit with a Rambox bed. But for me, having 2 good sized, sealed "trunks" and a bed that is easily enough to haul what I need to haul, turned out to be perfect for me.

These trucks all have the same drive trains from the cheapest to the most expensive, all you are getting for the extra money are the frills.

I believe the v8 rebel comes with the the 4 auto (44-44 transfer case) and the v6 has the 44-45 transfer case. Also there is a thread about adding the tow hooks the the sport trim level.

I missed that part, ive added the tow hooks on my sport as well, very simple to do, either remove the lower bumper insert or cut it out to fit around the hooks and simply bolt the hooks in place, i along with quite a few wish i didnt have the on demand case with auto but unless you get an outdoorsman or lower trim or some v6's the part time is not an option

Thanks for the replies. I understand the want for the 44-45 and I keep going back and forth on if I want that one or not but for my needs the 44-44 fits my needs. I am not sure about the 44-44 in the rebel, will have to research.

The hemi rebel is for sure 100% 44-44 with no option, the v6 rebel has 44-45 and fairly certain option of 44-44

I have seen around 10 Rebels come through my local dealer in Northern Ontario. Each and every truck had a Hemi as well as the BW 44-45 transfer case. I am happy to see that Ram shook there heads and put the right t-case in this truck.

After they're done shaking their heads they need to pull it out of their ass and offer a 1500 with an actual locker.

Im happy with a posi vs a locker, would much rather 4wd engage and stay engaged all the time, my last truck with rear locker could only lock in 4low, thats no good to me 95% of the time, i drive in 2wd almost all winter long and the truck with locker which is an open diff when not locked id have to engage 4wd to back in my driveway, my other trucks with posi no issues in 2wd

I used my truck every day from November to April in northern Alberta and didn't have any issues at all with the air ride. Mine is a 2015 1500 CC Limited
