If you zoom in on the gas door itself the paint spider cracked.almost looks like a bad repair job has started to eat through the paint. It might be from gas/ethanol vapors but that's a long stretch
only time I've ever seen dirt build up around a fuel filler is on a diesel. Seen many of gas fleet vehicles that don't get washed, none have had anything like thisIt is gas and gas vapors collecting dirt,especially after fueling.Common thing if you go too long between washings.
