Havn't paid my first payment yet actually $615 a month kinda scares me but Im looking at getting a part time job so I can double up on payments and pay it off in half the time. But if this is the case I will be working a full time and part time job and will only be off two day every two weeks I guess we will see how that works out wish me luck. Congrats on the pay off though that always feels nice not to owe anybody.

Haven’t had a truck payment for over five years. Made the plunge last week on a new 2013 1500. That first payment will not be a lot of fun, but plan on paying it off within two years. Hope to get my old F150 cleaned up this week and put it up for sale to help pay it down.

If I could have found them for that I might have just done it myself as there has never been a engine I couldnt work on. Parts alone were just over $2k. Just so many things to go wrong between the injectors and the injector sleeves (craking, not sealing). Those must have been a quite long 2 1/2 days. Also heard its a 40% failure rate on the DIY crowd. Plus it was a 2wd and I have since retired from the military and plan to stay in AK.

Oh well, its a done deal. I loved that truck but am now a Ram owner though I feel like I just shot my trusty old hunting dog because she was not as fast a new pup.

It was a LONG LONG 2-1/2 days haha. I forget how exactly he got them for that cheap but he managed too (don't ask questions haha)

It will take less than half the time since the extra payments will go to the principle and reduce your monthly (and overall) interest. Providing you got a loan with no early payment penalty.

Wow, many of you are braver than me...especially when talking about getting a second job to pay for your truck. While I typically finance my vehicles, I haven't bought a vehicle in quite a while where I didn't have the cash reserves to pay for it outright if I wanted. APR has been so low for so long that it hasn't made sense to pay cash.
