Found out my finance company was charging me some ridiculous fee on top of my apr so I just decided to pay off the truck. Feels good but at the same time I can't stop thinking that a meteor is going to fall out of the sky and crush my truck haha.

Good news. Just think how many mods you can perform each month now!

Congrats.

Thats what kept me from buying a new truck for so long. Mine was paid off and running fine. I bought a new RV last July and just paid it off, then my other truck started acting up and the repair cost was stupid expensive (duramax injectors $6K).

I hope to follow in your shoes and have this one paid off by the end of the year.

Thanks guys! I'm pretty much all done with mods except for gears. I'm just waiting to see if someone will make a specific set for my year instead of having to swap axles. Now all this extra money can go to gas and tires (my nitto's are burning out fast!) :p

Congrats! This is the main reason I'm holding out on more mods. If I make a couple financial moves I can pay this '12 off this summer. The younger 20's me would've never waited and went crazy on mods right away lol. Guess I'm getting old

Those injectors are rough. I helped a buddy change his out.. cost about $600 in parts but we were able to do the whole job in roughly 2-1/2 days.

If I could have found them for that I might have just done it myself as there has never been a engine I couldnt work on. Parts alone were just over $2k. Just so many things to go wrong between the injectors and the injector sleeves (craking, not sealing). Those must have been a quite long 2 1/2 days. Also heard its a 40% failure rate on the DIY crowd. Plus it was a 2wd and I have since retired from the military and plan to stay in AK.

Oh well, its a done deal. I loved that truck but am now a Ram owner though I feel like I just shot my trusty old hunting dog because she was not as fast a new pup.
