Hey guys, new on here. Truck is currently at the shop getting that rear end put in. It’s been a damn nightmare !!! Reason for the new is got on her hard and nasty, then snap !!! Lost power and heard a dragging noise. Pulled over and driveline snapped and bounced up and split rear end open. So I decided to do it right and throw the 392 in her. It’s lifted on 35 1250’s the mechanic called and gave it to me hard with a long list of other things he noticed wrong. One I get all info I’ll repost. My question or concern is, what should I do next to avoid another major disaster with putting in this new rear end ?? I’ve read some things about a torque converter? I’m not mechanically inclide, but have the willingness to learn ! Sorry for rambling on, the truck also has a K&n cai, superchip, and Gibson exhaust. Thanks to all for reading my short story, and for any info !!
