Just for reference for the filter people need it’s K&N part number 33-2247
When I searched that number on Amazon...it says it won’t fit my ‘13 Ram 2500 6.7...but it looks right. Will it fit?

Dropped a K&N in my factory air box. Figured it would work well with my Carven progressive exhaust. $57 after tax with 10% mil discount at Auto Zone. Disconnected the negative on my battery for 15 minutes incase there’s anything the truck needs to recalculate quickly from a little increased airflow, not sure. Regardless, I’ll track any noticeable changes. So far, it’s just as quiet as the OEM filter.

When I bought my truck used at 88k miles it had a k&n already in it. When I went to clean it I noticed a lot of dirt had gotten by the filter. I removed it and cleaned the box and intake hose up as good as I could and put a paper filter in. Checked it at 105k miles; no dirt seen at all on intake line. Dirt in bottom of box. I’d say k&n def lets a lot more through then paper or the last owner didnt oil it every 5-10k miles.
