Leaving it is the best option if you're not losing pressure, imo. It could be all the way through and you've just got a good seal or it may not be and you're fine but you won't know until you pull it and it's too late. I've done that before too. Had a nail in a tire for about 25k miles once lol. It eventually just started wearing down with the tire.

11k rotated once with a lead foot? Damn. Pretty sure my 6800lb truck would have eaten the tires completely by now. Mine look about like yours and I've got half the miles on them.

Yeah at first I thought they weren't wearing great. Now that I've had them for a bit I'm pretty impressed.

Yeah def gonna leave it until I don't have a choice lol.

Maybe the top layer of tread is a little softer and wears faster. Once you wear them a bit the wear slows down maybe. I'll have mine checked in a couple thousand miles and see where I'm at.

Seriously looking into these tires and I appreciate you guys with the updates. My tires probably have 10,000 miles until I'll be forced to buy a new set but I don't drive a lot so I'll probably just bite the bullet before next fall and snow regardless. I only drive about 10,000 miles per year but 4,000 of those miles are in October and November driving to hunting property.

These will suit you well for that for sure. They handle mud, sand and general off-road slop very well. We didn't get the snow we hoped for in the mountains of Tennessee over Christmas but I will say the couple very small patches of ice we encountered on the mountain roads, we didn't feel at all. Now, that's likely a result of the 3 other tires being in contact with dry pavement but I never felt any loss of traction. So far a very good tire for the money and at this point, about 7k miles in, I'd still recommend them for those that don't mind a fair amount of road noise.

I really like these so far and can't beat the price when compared to the alternatives. Will update after I've put some miles on...Only had for 60 days or so. For anyone interested be sure to check out Parrish Tire Company on eBay. Not an endorsement by any means but they had the best price I could find and they were fedexed overnight to my door.

They ride great as a daily driver and just a nice low humm on the highway, not intrusive at all.

I see these as a possibility as I don't off road, but I want a tire that works in the snow.b51439e0ef2ebe6365bb8cda38138c1f.jpg

I have the Canadian version called Muteki (but it's still Kanati) which are 37x12.50x17 and for the day I was able to drive on them before I got shipped up to work I was really impressed. In Calgary we have still a mix of snow , iced roads and dry pavement and these Trail Hogs held up amazingly! On ice I was still able to have full traction and stopping was solid, and in fresh snow I was able to chew through with no issues. Until I take it to the mountains and truly test them, this is my only 2cents so far

Any balancing issues with these Trail Hogs?

Mine seemed to balance fine. I don't see an excessive amount of weight on my wheels either so I think they balance pretty well. Only complaint I had from my shop was that their machine was a little old and they weren't sure if it would survive balancing 4 tires at 100lbs each lol. I almost left at that point and found somebody else but it turned out alright. For the price, these tires simply cannot be beat. They are fantastic. My only complaint is they're a little noisy for my taste. I could live with it but my wife hates it. I'll buy something a little less aggressive next time based on my usage but if you need a fairly aggressive tire or just want one and don't mind a little noise BUY THESE!

Edit: As stated below they're headquartered out of Anaheim, CA. I Thought these were a set of the Chinese tires that I've seen floating around threads here. If they're made here in the US and profits stay here then I'll look into them, just don't like seeing people risking their safety to save some money on Chinese components.

??

Kanati is owned by Greenball. These guys have been around for a long time and make quality products. The trail hog is a 10 ply AT tire with 3 ply sidewalls. I have zero concerns with safety running these on my truck, on or off road, will buy them again and will gladly pocket the savings every time....like you said, a couple hundred easily over the nearest competitor.

Just read the reviews about the Trail Hogs, nothing negative other than maybe a little road noise. From what I've read about them I would not have a problem buying them and saving a few hundred dollars, that's just plus IMO.

One issue to keep an eye on...I run the 275-70-18 Kanati MUD HOGS...Those are the spec tire size for my 2500...A few weeks ago I did a 350 mile roundtrip to a snowmobile race in No.Wi...Air temps were 30*-40*... cruise control was set @ 72 mph both ways...Tire pressures were set @ spec 60# front/ 80# rear...On the return trip home I checked the tire# on the evic and was SURPRISED to see all 4 tire pressures had increased by 8#...Too much for my liking with air temps only in the 30-40 range...

Just to put it out there, these tires are manufactured in Indonesia but they are by a US based company with a long history of quality in other market segments. I've had no issues. As another poster mentioned, they do seem to fluctuate air pressure a little more than other tires I've had in the past but nothing I'm personally that concerned about.

need opinions on how these balance and perform at highway speeds. had narrowed my tire choices down to duratracs and ko2's when i stumbled on these. almost $400 cheaper in my size (35/12.5/17). currently running an offbrand mt i cant seem to get balanced and am tired of the shaking on the highway. im going back to an at but want to keep an aggressive look. any input on the highway manners of these tires would be greatly appreciated.

They work fine on the highway. Balancing seems fine too.
