Well as most of you may know, I did buy a 1998 1500 with a 5.9 in it. My truck, the 1999 1500, has a 5.2 in it. Since both motors are interchangeable, I thought about takin the intake manifold off the 1998, doing the kegger mod and a new plenum from Hughes, and then puttin it on my 1999. I started to read a few write-ups on doing the mod, but is it really worth it? What kinda gains would i get out of it? And the plenum in my 1999 needs to be replaced also.. lol I do have the CAI, and exhaust system on my truck, so I guess thatd be an advantage if I did the kegger mod.

I have done this mod to two other peoples trucks. It will move the power up in the rpm range and take away lower end tq. My op is it's not worth the time and aggravation. If you want to get ride of the kegger intake all together and the plenum problem have a look at the Mopar M1 intake.
