My truck is a 2019 model and it came off today and had a terrible vibration while driving down the road. I couldn't figure out what it is or the purpose for it. I climbed under the truck and knocked it back on with a hammer. There wasn't anymore vibration on my way home. I looked at my nephews and his truck is a 2017 with what looked like the same shaft, but his doesn't have this ring on it. Interested in hearing if anyone has had issues with anything after taking it off or knocking it back on without replacing it with a new one or the whole shaft like some have said they did.
