Have a quick ????? for all you dodge ram drivers. my 2007 dodge ram 1500 W the 4.7l engine approx 129,000 miles. runs great, but was wondering if any of you have this issue. replaced all the spark plugs, coils, and when driving and lets just say taking off from a stop, goes thru the gears and gets to final gear taching about 1200-1400rpms, and just slightly give little gas, it just lags, like has no power, and can hear it, so you have to give it little more gas, it goes the the next low gear. is this normal for the 4.7l or any issues, suggestions

My 08 1500 4.7 has a similar hesitation at slow speeds, light throttle, low rpm, as if it was a stickshift and I need to downshift, kinda lugs and surges until I give it more throttle and its fine again until you get in that range again. No codes and no other performance issues.

What rear gear do you guys have? It sounds like it lugs a bit in 5th gear (second OD) with the TC lockup since that's well below the 4.7's powerband.

Rob and hemilonestar, not sure what gears I have but I think this is more of a issue with fuel mixture, or engine management problems. Occurs in TowHaul or OD off mode too. Problem is somewhat intermittent, is worse in damp weather, can occur warm or cold engine. Will be better for a few days then worse for a few, been doing it for a few thousand miles, with no codes or CEL. Still gets decent fuel mileage and runs OK otherwise. Rob has yours ever thrown any codes?
