Leak in 3rd Brake Light

I think Mopar came out with a new improved third brake light with a better gasket, The new 5 Gen trucks have 3 screws holding the light in place but 4 Gen don't. My advice is to buy a whole light set up including the light itself. My friend just had the problem and got a new third break light. They should really have a recall on this common problem. Also if getting new 3rd light you can install led bulbs ,because you don't want to close it up and open it again. He paid 68 bucks from Mopar for the light .

The 5th gen light is same size to fit in 4th gen slot?.. it looks bigger in person and different design when I see em on the new trucks. We’d have to drill the third hole if tried to fit 5th gen in 4th gen.

I really dont think that 5 gen third brake would do the job, because their is not a mounting spot on the inside of the 4 gen truck to screw it into. I guess you can try your own custom light install, but why do that they both do the same thing light up.

Nice little gap in the seal around the satellite antenna near the passenger rear on the roof. Use a plastic trim tool to lift the antenna up a bit and get some silicone under and around it. So far no leaks!!

Not into the cab but getting water in housing. Need to see if that's a warranty repair. I'm still under 3/36000.... barely. Lol

Yes my friend had Ram replace the 3 brake light because of water inside the light, you could see it floating around the light bulb . they put a new one in at the dealer .Also he has a year warranty on the new one
