The only panel Incompletely took off the was the panel around the head unit to get to the bolt that holds the lower panel around the 12v outlet under the ignition. Routing the wires weren't too bad other than have to crawl around everywhere. I did drill a small hole into the plastic next to the gas petel, just below the ac and heater components to run a zip tie through to hold the controller module where you connect all your wires. It's not visible unless you crawl in the floorboard and look for it. I was able to tuck the module and connections behind that plastic as well so you don't see anything. Pictures will better illustrate what I'm trying to describe. Once I'm off working in the morning, I'll crawl around and took some photos to show what I mean.

The dome light is easy to replace, the map lights are a bit harder, just because they are so small. One tip I saw (after I did mine) was to use a long piece of tape. Secure it to both sides of the bulb and then pull. I had a hard time getting my fat fingers in the bulb area to pull the light out. If you get the correct bulbs, you do not need any resistors.

I used a pair of the black disposable nitrile gloves that I get from walmart. Now I cant remember if I wore them.. or just draped them over my fingers and used them for grip... Anyway... That got a good grip on the bulb. :favorites13:

Looking forward to the pictures. Thanks.

Has anyone tried CANBus vs non-CANBus? I know you don't get any bulb out messages, I've got non-CANBus interior LED's now but I saw somewhere that they work better and are brighter if you do CANBus bulbs.

I just converted nearly all my smaller lights to LED. What a difference that makes. Much nicer lights. The white looks tons better that the yellow. I did all the interior except the visors (I'll order those tomorrow). I also changed the RamBox lights, the rear cargo lights and the license plate lights. The license plate lights were a little brighter than I would have liked. I still need to get a replacement for the hood light. I went ahead and got all CANBUS lights because I didn't want to subject myself to any errors. I was kind of skeptical about doing this, but now that I have I think it's worth it.

Here are some photos I had taken post installation to give you an idea of what it looks like finished and where I hid the controller module and wires. Bare with me, I'm using an iPhone for the pictures and uploading.

This photo is the area I described where I zip tipped the controller module to some metal frame work and also zip tied all the connections from each led strip behind the plastic L shaped piece. Where the strips connect to the white connectors off the module, I electrical taped where the connections were made. This picture is when you open the door and crotch down and look to the right of the gas petal.

This photo shows where I pulled the 12v power connection through the box shaped opening above the controller module to make my power connection for the strips. You do have to find a place to install a ground wire as well. As stated before, i grounded to the screw at the bottom of the kick panel or panel under the steering wheel. I slid the connector behind the panel so it made contact to the metal. Once I made the power connections to the back of the 12v connector, I fed the connector back up through the box opening and plugged it back in. This photo is taken while laying on my back in the floor board looking upward and to the left.

For some reason the photo is rotated sorry, if some one can flip it I would appreciate it. The white module actually is mounted vertically along the metal.

This is how I ran the led strip on the passenger side behind the lower plastic trim at the floor to connect to to module on the drivers side. You can either fish the wire through or slide it under the plastic until it's hidden behind it. I chose that route and it was pretty easy. On the passenger side, as far as mounting goes, I zip tied the led strip to the metal under the glove box. There are a couple holes you can run the zip ties to.

I got lucky when mounting the two rear led strips under each seat because I have seat covers that use the elastic straps front to back on the bottom of the seats. I ran the led strips through those to hold them in place and connected the passenger side strip to the drivers side strip.

I actually was able to tuck the wire under the plastic at the floor under the center console jump seat so no wires are visible between the two. I ran the drivers side wire under the plastic door sill by gradually tucking it under the plastic and ran it above the brake and gas petal to the controller module where I made the power connection. I used electrical tape to hold all the wires in place above the gas petal and brake.

When connecting two strips together, I suggest taping the connection as well because they sometimes don't want to stay connected. Wiring the kit up this way works when you turn the key fob to acc or on and turns off when you open the door or all the accessory power turns off after the truck has shut off. The kit does have a supplied switch that will also allow you to turn the lights on and off but I constantly leave it on because the controller used to change the light settings has an on/off switch as well.

I hope this clarifies some of my previous messages, sorry it's so long winded, I'm a former editor for a newspaper lol.

I got an auto zone special led strip kit for my front footwells. Went with red to not mess with my night vision. Came with a 12 volt plug and switch, plugged it on to the cigarette lighter next to the little drawer under the radio and ran the wires behind the panel for a cleaner look. Passenger side I stuck the strip to the bottom bevel of my glove box lid, and driver side put it on the middle area above the floor vent. Came out pretty good in my opinionuploadfromtaptalk1459015858670.jpg
