So thanks to my Team Leader I have a new bumper with foglight holes.image.jpg
I saw this picture of a 2500-3500 with the pods where the foglights go and I really like how it looks.

Rigid Industry makes a bracket that fits where the OEM foglight brackets fit

But they say it's only for a 2500-3500. But looking closely at pictures of the bracket n foglights they look like the same as the ones for a 1500. Does anyone know if in fact the are the same? Or any other ideas? Thanks

I don't know anything about the fog lights, but wanted to say welcome to RF and that's a cool paint scheme on the front end. :)

@DavidRam: thanks, I fell in love with the Tango Mango color. And I opted to black out the chrome cuz I'm not a fan of keeping up with it anymore... Lol call me lazy but I like the look better now too.

@Tyrant that looks amazing. Did you use the Rigid bracket? And what kind of wiring harness did you use?

Yes I used the rigid bracket - "Rigid 46510" they say its for the 2500/3500 but worked perfect on my 1500 laramie

For the wiring I made my own wiring harness which plugged in directly to the OEM fog lamp socket - very simple all you need is these 9145 H10 9005 HB3 Wiring Harness Socket Wire Connector Plug | eBay
and some connector plugs and crimper.

if you don't have the OEM fog lamp wiring you could easily do it using any fog lamp harness on eBay.

^Beat me to posting the info. They're Rigid Industries D-2 Quads with their mounting brackets. Not sure on this application whether or not you can fit the filters/difusers/covers but keep in mind in certain states they are not street legal for use on the road as a "foglight" due to the amount of output they have.

That said I loved them as back-country, back-road, and emergency floods with the yellow/orange filters I ran on my last build. (6-Pot as example only.)

See about wiring them up into two different switches. Then if you prefer you can use one set as filtered fogs and the other set (outer set normally) as off-road floods.

Thanks guys for confirming about those brackets. And thanks for the 2 switch idea. I will probably do that so I don't catch to much attention. I already have 5% tint all around but luckily the cops here where I live don't bother you about it unless you do something stupid.

Also.. is there anyway to get by with just 1 Pod in each fog light and just bolting it through the bumper?

Just look up Rigid Industries. Also the only other way to put a pod without the bracket is ganna be to fabricate something.

Im sure that they dont make brackets for the vertical fog's. why dont you just put HID's? im putting the LED pods because my truck didnt come with factory fog's.

I want to do this bad.. Its next on my list.

However, i have a 13 with vettical fogs also, as well as im too cheap to buy rigid and will use chinese pods.

Wonder if chinese pods would work on these brackets.
