Has anyone replaced the rear 3157 bulbs on each side with the LED equivalent? After I changed them it still says tail light out on the screen and I don’t even see lights. I didn’t pay attn to polarity since it mentioned they can be plugged in either way. The new ones I’m using are Sylvania 3157 LED. My truck is a 2017 Ram 1500 lone star.

Have you tried turning them around to see if they will light up? Do these bulbs require load resistors to complete the circuit for the EVIC?

Like Fast69 said...try reversing the orientation of the bulbs. LEDs will not work if polarity is incorrect.

Check function before reassembly.
Syneticusa makes 3157 LEDs with small CANBUS decoders attached.
Plug'n'play, no errors.

I did turn them the other way. They work now, but I’m getting indication on the dash display now that the directionals are both out even though they’re not, they work when viewing from the outside, and blink normal speed outside however the dash indicator is doing the hyper flash. I was looking to see if I have a blinker resistor in the fuse box but haven’t found it. Does his mean I have to wire resistors into each light? Manufacturers are lame. On a 2017 truck you’d think the ecu would be smart enough to handle regular or led lights
