I bought a Mopar canvas cover, but had an air gap in the front section. Was told it was "normal" by the dealer.
Anyone else have this issue?
I took it off an will be getting something more watertight to replace it.

I wouldn't think that it is installed correctly. The point in the cover is to completely cover the bed. Protecting whats inside. If yours was short at the front, creating a gap, then I would say that the mounted rails for the cover are to far to the rear of the truck. Easy adjustment should fix it up.

I was thinking about a retract. But I decided on a backflip hard cover instead. Only thing wrong with it is that it is heavy on that first latch. I'm going to remove it an add a strip of steel along the bedcaps to reinforce then bolt the sides. I don't like the fasteners. Someone actually tried to steal it when I was loaded and the cover was open

My old RAM had a roll-up tonneau cover that collected water/ice and eventually rotted away.

It was replaced with a heavy fiberglass cover with an upwards facing lock that would continually freeze during the winter and was a pain to remove when I had to haul something.

When ordering my new truck, I knew that I wanted something like a tri-fold and that I could not afford/justify one of the heavy duty aluminum jobs that you can park a couple of wheelers on.

So I just opted for the factory cover.

It works nicely but I wish that I would have purchased a better hard tri-fold.

It bugs me the way that it flaps in the wind when driving down the road and I'm sure it will collect ice during the winter.

An upgrade may be in my future.

I looked as the BakFlip, but I decided against it because of having to stay against the back of the cab if I needed to move be something big. I sacrificed on the space the canister takes up, but so far I haven’t needed it. Especially since the Rambox comes with a bed extender.

Lowmax. I may through bolt it for security. Anyone do that with any covers? These clamps kind of pinch instead of clamping square.

Lomax us by far the most popular here with the bakflip and extang behind it. If I buy another bed cover it will be the Lomax.

We offer many bed cover brands. If anyone would like a quote just send me a message.

I ordered an ARE CH series! Screened windoors, flip open front slider, LED lighting, and reinforced roof with 500lb Yakima rack!

I need the lockable storage for tools, recovery equipment, and any hunting equipment and firearms!

A little “sleep it off” space is always nice to have too!

I should take delivery in a week or so!

Yes that's true. But what I did as far as securing loads when tailgate is down I added retractable ratchet straps to the rear of the bed. It works very well20180917_121231.jpg

Undercover UltraFlex. As expected it is not 100% waterproof but does allow the tailgate to come down without fiddling with keys and locks.

My previous Undercover Classic was 100% waterproof but the locks would freeze in very cold temperatures and needed regular lubrication. It also required to unlock the cover and raise it before you lowered the tailgate.9980ddade9466ecb2fbf92ba570d22c3.jpge400b7de576e99f7f3624939a2fa49fd.jpg5ef3d39a1fd0831905c34c65cfe6241c.jpg
