License Plate Lights wiring diagram

[2019Classic]

Anyone have a wiring diagram handy for the license plate light circuit?

I have a 2019 Classic, but the 2018 diagram should work for me.

My cluster says “license plate bulb” out with new bulbs in there.

The 2019 Classic is basically a re badged 2018. The schematics should be the same. Did you change you license plate lights to LED or some aftermarket lights? These trucks are very finicky with the light out messages when you use led bulbs.

I did. I had put the original bulbs back in, but the message persisted. I installed two new 194’s and the message went away.

I’ll have to disable the check for those lights in alpha OBD I guess.

Yes sometimes is takes s few key cycles for the warning to turn off when you put the correct bulbs back in. You can install the LED versions and enable the LED licences plate option with the alpha tool if you chose and the message should go away.
