I know you can lock the liftgate, but what's the best way to keep stuff in the bed of the truck safe? Do the cheaper tonneau covers lock somehow too? Or is there no safe way to keep stuff in the bed? Thanks!

Depends on which cover. Most of them will lock and require you to open the tailgate to reach their latch. Obviously, if you are worried about security, a hard tonneau will be more secure than a soft one.

I have the Bakflip and like NYCruiser said I have to open the tailgate to open the cover. As long as the tailgate locks everything is secure in the bed.

That is the exact cover I was looking at before I bought my Ram. Luckily, my truck came with a Mopar canvas cover, so I didn't have to buy one, but I would much rather the hard cover like yours.

As mentioned, most require you open the tailgate to open the tonneau cover. But a soft cover is pretty easy to cut with a knife. I'd say if you're worried about locking stuff in the bed, stick with a hard cover.

how secure are you looking to keep your stuff? soft covers are totally useless in this aspect. folding hard covers are better, but if the thief is familiar with the cover, he can get that open easily. only way to really keep stuff safe is to get a locking hard cover.
