Driver's side front hub makes a clicking sound when in 2WD. When I put it in 4WD it goes away. It handles and drives normally in either 2WD or 4WD. I am assuming that the locking mechanism is failing. 2014 RAM 3500 diesel, 85000 miles. Comments?

Drivers side is the same no matter what. The passenger side is where the disconnect is for 4wd. Could be a bad U joint on the drivers side.

I stopped being lazy and pulled the wheel off tonight. You are correct! Pretty bad u-joint, driver's side.
