What's the question? If you're asking whether you should buy a new 1500 with the 5.7 hemi, let me answer your question with a question: Are you aware you are asking this in a Ram forum?

Seriously though, I've owned a 5th gen with etorque and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a new one with it. But the chances of that for us are pretty slim for us. By the time we're in the market to buy again the Hemi won't be available anymore.

Don't think you can get one without eTorque, there have been few problems with it, and it has an 80,000 warrantee on it, soon you'll only be able the get the 1-6 Hurricane that going to have growing pains, I wouldn't want to be one of the first owners.

Correct, no non-etorque hemi's were made after 2022.

Is this true even if you order a classic? I don't see etorque on the classic. Maybe the website doesn't explain it well

If new is not exactly what you want, look for used! Because if it is not what you want and anything goes wrong you will remember that you settled fore! Electric not for me-I have worked on them. But most like and are happy with them.

2023 Limited 5.7 w/etorque. About 15,000 miles. No issue whatsoever so far. Not sure exactly what it does for me but it hasn’t been a problem yet!

My 22 Laramie does not have e torque. I love it! Gets really good mileage compared to my 2011 4.7…

I would not be scared of e torque, but I am also fine without it….

I had it on two trucks and never had an issue with either one. Doesn't mean I'm not happy our current Ram doesn't have it.

I'd rather have my Classic over a 5th Gen with "e-anything". It's just something to break on down the road and cost mega bucks to repair. Hemi has gobs and gobs of pulling power as it is, not sure why they felt the need to add electronic garbage to it.
