I found an ABS wiring diagram for a 2004 2500, but I don't know if it would be the same for my 2008 1500. Would they be the same, or would someone happen to be willing to post their 2008 1500 wiring diagram? I need to tap into the vehicle speed signal wire. Thanks!

Look here for the 2008 Service manual.

And, welcome.gif to Ram Forum. :cool:

Thanks Michael! I looked through the 2008 service manual earlier for about 30 minutes, but it doesn't seem to contain schematics with pin identifiers like this one:

You're most welcome.

I tried to locate the details but the laptop doesn't have sufficient resources to search large PDFs ATM.

Another source with wire colours and pinout details for connectors is;

Hey Michael, thanks for the additional links, but those are all 2 or 3-wire connectors. I'm needing the pin diagram for the connector shown below which is located next to my brake booster. As you can see, this is many wires (estimate ~16 pins).ABS connector.JPG

Could you compare the wire colors on your connector to the colors on the 14 pin connector on the anti-lock brake controller module drawing in post #3?

If you open up the tape on the pigtail, you should be able to count the number of wires.

If disassembling the connector is a PITA, try identifying the pins connections to the pig tails with an ohm meter.

You never know, they may have used standard configurations back then and the ABS module could be using the same wire colors as the 2500.

Also, when you searched the service manual, did you use a PC and word search using control F?

The service manual should have the complete wiring diagram. I'll see if I can revive another PC tomorrow and use it to search for a good schematic drawing.

Yes, I did cntl-F word searches in the service manual, but I'll give it another go. I'll also revisit the wire colors in the post #3 drawing vs. my connector, as you suggested. I appreciate your help!

Glad to hear that you found the word search.

ABS module, anti-lock brake controller, ABS schematic, sometimes you just have to get inventive with the word search.

Maybe, you can get word search ideas from looking at the 2500 schematic you posted. Like, anti-lock brakes circuit.

You're most welcome, thanks for helping to keep my brain busy and active. LOL :cool:
