I recently had to replace my headlight bulbs and ran into an issue when putting the grille back on. The two middle bolts that hold the grille on now have stripped threads. At the time of posting this, I'm drawing a blank at what it's called but they screw into the metal cross bar. What would be the easiest way to fix this? At the moment, The screws are in there but could pull them out by hand without screwing them. I read I could drill the holes a little bigger and get a bigger size bolt but didn't want to go that far without knowing if there's a quicker and easier solution.

If the bolts are the only thing damaged, replace them.

If the bolt holes are stripped too, then I use rivnuts for this application alot, so that I can avoid oversized fasteners.

The kit is pretty cheap on Amazon, and you'll find lots of additional uses for them in the future.

Thank you. I'll have to check these out.
