I am looking for two electrical connectors if anyone could tell me where to find them or give part numbers. These are for the efan swap. Thanks
Looking for this exact connector:20181110_183126.jpg

And then the connector that would plug into this one:20181110_183247.jpg

Not sure what the top pic is for... but the bottom pic - looks like you have bought the 2009-2011 Tyco fan and are plugging it into an '18 or similar vehicle and wondering why (I forget which end is male and which female) one end is 3 pin and the other 2 pin.The bottom third pin is obsolete from my investigations. From what I can fathom... it was for a soft start or dual speed element which the new vehicles dont control that way anymore.

I am tuned - so my fan is set to come on full speed each time regardless.... all I did was use the AC fan connector (which I was replacing that fan anyway) and wire that in place instead. So far I have had no issues.

Hope this helps?

It is a little late for me to go check. I purchased a new efan for my '17. It was from one of the newer rams. If I am remembering correctly the original the first plug is the one that plugs into the original fan and the 2nd plug is the one that plugs into the new fan. The problem I found and the reason it is not in my truck is because the original fan that came with the truck is an analog ECM fan. Meaning the speed it turns is based on how much power is being sent to the fan via relays.

The new fan is a PWM pulse modulated fan meaning the computer controls how fast the fan motor spins based on a temperature table through a digital wave. The hotter the temp is the faster it spins the fan. It adjusts the fan speed via a digital wave so that the fan is not cutting on and off all the time.

To get this to work on a truck that was originally setup for an ECM fan you would need to run the power wires as well as change the signal coming from the computer from ECM to a PWM. I did find where it is possible to do this. You would need a tuner to apply a temp table in your programming as well.

I do have some wiring diagrams and pin outs of wiring harnesses. I found the plug connectors but stopped once I found out the PWM configuration. I do not know if it is possible to trick a PWM fan to think it is an analog fan though. I haven't had time to play with it so it is sitting in my shed till I do.

I did this on my 01 Silverado. I installed one from a camero at the time. The camero and silverado used the same pcm but wired up different. I had the tuner activate the port on the pcm for the camero fan and add a table. I wired in plug to the harness to the camero fans and they worked like a charm.

Oh I'm tuned with a 180 degree thermostat. I've been running with the stock a/c fan tuned to come on a little sooner for almost a year with no issues. My highest temp here in the louisiana summer and traffic was 202. It normally stays about 190-195.
