Finally I think ready to buy my new truck!! Couple of questions though. Trying to decide between the 2021 2500 or 3500.... Pulling a 5600 pound travel trailer now, but who knows in the future... I have heard about worse ride quality in the 3500 when not towing... And I have thought I am going to a 8 foot bed in my new truck, but just about every 2500 I have looked at is a 6' 4" bed... No long beds... Do they not exist?? Anybody have any thoughts or advice? Thanks

2500 long beds are out there but more common on the 3500. A 2500 is way more sufficient than you need for a 5600lb camper but if you are ever thinking about a fifth wheel you may as well get the 3500. Also get the 50 gallon tank with that long bed.

I have a 2500 CC long bed, my personal needs require that. The 2500 is more than sufficient for my trailering needs and I pull fifth wheels as well as travel trailers. With the Tradesman I have almost 3k pounds payload capacity taking into account my running boards and bed cover I added aftermarket. Watch what you buy, you need to look at payload stickers in door jamb, for example the tradesman with the power wagon configuration has about half the available payload capacity. Good luck!
