Hi

I have recently bought a 2018 Ram, and just got the "check engine light"
I get the P3449 code, but I cannot feel/hear any issues from the engine. It got approx 160" miles on it, and I believe it is well maintained.
Just changed the oil and filter, and didnt find any issues regarding the old oil.

Any recomendations?

Code is open circuit in the mds solenoid on cylinder 7. Could be a wiring issue to the solenoid or bad solenoid. To me, sounds like you need to pull the intake manifold and inspect the solenoid and it's wiring. With Alfaobd, you can activate the solenoid and check the wiring connector for voltage, even pull the solenoid and check for function. It's not extremely difficult to get the intake manifold off, other than 1 connector for the srv motor on the back of the intake. Otherwise, you can have it off in less than an hour. The solenoid isn't hard to replace or get to afterwards and if you that far into it for diagnostics, it'd probably be wise to have a new solenoid or 4 ready to go just in case.

With the number of fault codes he is having (saw the other list about the steering column problems) I would be looking at the harness real close for evidence of critters maybe chewing on it or corrosion / loose connections (especially all the grounds).
