Hey guys I'm looking at moving from the 2nd gen to 4th gen and getting a 2012 1500 crew cab 5.7 with the 6 spd auto. Anything I should know about it or look out for? Any issues besides the MDS and some shifting issues some guys are having? Thanks for the replies.

Other than the super overglorified 45rfe, its a solid truck!

I don't think there are any glaring issues. Plus if you're going from a 2nd to a 4th gen 6 speed, you probably won't be bothered much by the 65rfe personality - as long as you don't drive an 8 speed for comparison. I am spoiled and ended up selling my 2014 as I couldn't make friends with the trans. strangely, I now miss my red 1500, guess it was a great truck overall. Now I'm fighting a 66rfe, not as bad as the 65rfe but still sometimes a pain in the ****. hey, I never said I was the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Cool, the truck only has 45,800 miles on it and it's that charcoal gray color. Hopefully soon I can look at it when I go back home. Thanks guys for input
