I am looking to buy a used 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 4 DOOR 4x4 5.7L Laramie w/ 90k miles. Interior/Exterior is in very excellent condition - one small tear on driver side interior seat.

No accident history on carfax, has decent service history overall last 20k miles have had...

-Radiator hose replaced, water pump, idler pulley, multiple oil changes, front/rear brakes, rotors, and calipers, tires, driveshaft universal joints,

Friend of a friend who is selling it but seems solid overall.

Is 11k a good deal, average deal, or terrible deal on a truck like this? KBB seems to have it within range (though the high end of the estimate on KBB) - but anything I need to be aware of for this year / model /etc?

Do not know much about trucks, but wanting a four-wheel drive vehicle, something that is easy to transport kids in when weather is bad (currently only have a dodge grand caravan) and something to tow a small trailer with lawn equipment on.

Not sure if extended or crew cab but priced that vehicle in my area in good condition. 11 seems high, and I also would have concern that a tear in the seat that will just continue to pull. Mileage adds a bit of value but buying it and from a private party I would be happy if I got it for $9,500 and if I was the seller I would like to get $10,100 for it.

Good luck.

Way high, shouldn’t be paying anymore than 8k for that if it’s in perfect condition.

$11k can easily buy you a really nice 4th gen which is a far better truck in every way. Only 3rd gens that are worth 10k+ are Cummins.
