Low miles like that always raises a red flag with me. I get suspicious as to why it was returned with such low miles?? IMO, that's a truck you should see if you can use/rent it for a week to see what's up.

Oh really? I guess I never thought about that. It was a lease return I guess. Dealer has the mileage wrong. It’s actually 23000. Just test drove it tonight. Of course it won’t fit in my 2 car garage wtf? lol.

Anything wrong with not garage a truck like that in MN winters? Besides the comfort of getting into a vehicle in a garage when it’s 0 degrees or colder out? Remote start kinda solves that problem.

I would jump of that 22,23,000 is about right for the 3.6 Pentastar W/Etorque has been a good option, in this economy you're not going to do better, you got allot of miles on your Gran Cherokee time to say good bye.

Some of these trucks are going fast.

Now I've got my eye set on this:

2021 Big Horn Night Edition, 52K miles, $33K with lifetime limited powertrain warranty. Very nice vehicle. 5.7 Etorque

Or a 2021 Laramie with 35K for $37K no warranty except factory 60K. 5.7 etorque.

The Ford 10-speed transmission nightmare scared me off of looking at F150s. Look them up.
I needed a truck for light towing. I'm a firm believer in non-turbo V-8 engines, and I knew the 5.7 Hemi was going away. I didn't want ALL the bells and whistles, but I wanted some amenities.
I located a 2022 BigHorn with a Hemi and a 6'4" bed and set up just right for me. This will be the last pickup I own.
Go Ram with a Hemi and the Ram 8-speed tranny and you'll never look back.

Yeah, I ended up getting a 2021 Big Horn Night Edition with 5.7 L. It does have the Etorque which is fine with me. My 2013 has a regular Hemi and I'm wondering if I should just put money into that and keep it around? Might be worth more in the future. It's got 240K on it but has been one of the most reliable engines I've ever had. I'm not a huge fan of the MDS crap but oh well.

I loved testing driving the F150 twin turbos both the 2.7 and 3.5. Those things both get up and go. But like you I didn't want to deal with the 10R80 tranny issues or the turbo issues.

I do think it's ridiculous my Big Horn you have to actually click the FOB to unlock the damn truck. Even my 2013 Jeep I can have the FOB in my pocket and walk up to it and pull the handle and open the door. WTF was Chrysler thinking? Why would you not make that thing standard on a 2021 truck? Also, my 2013 Grand Cherokee has crazy heavy duty doors. You shut those things and it's like a tank. My RAM is paper thin aluminum. I was pretty shocked at how flimsy the doors are or how thin the aluminum or steel or whatever they use nowadays.

I'm guessing you can adjust that setting, you just gotta find it. I recently bought a 2019 Longhorn and I'm still learning how to dig up all the various settings. My Longhorn (5th Gen) unlocks as you pull on the handle.

Truck has to be equipped with proximity unlock, its not a setting. My 23 Big horn didn't have it and I assumed it came with it when I bought it because its pretty much a standard feature these days.

Yeah, it's dangerous to 'assume' anything ......

I looked through my FCA 'Equipment Listing' (copy attached) and all I could find that refers to the entry is "Remote Keyless Entry". Is that the 'Proximity Unlock' that you refer to?

@ConqueringFools - if you want a complete Equipment Listing of all the stuff in your truck, go to this FCA web site and enter your VIN.

No. Remote keyless entry means just that. A key fob with a lock/unlock button. Proximity sensors allow you to unlock the vehicle by touching the handle. Your key never needs to leave your pocket. They're different options.

No, remote keyless is the FOB. When I bought the truck the window sticker has remote keyless and I thought that meant the standard proximity locking. Its not.

The good news is that you can add it but its a project. I plan to do it next year. Just search on how to add proximity to 5th gen.

Every vehicle I've had the past ten years had proximity lock/unlock.

You'll adjust to not having it. It took me a while because when it's zero or negative degrees outside I don't like messing with a FOB.

Yeah like I said it's ridiculous that Ram doesn't make this standard. My 2013 GC Laredo had it. These little nickel and dimey things from car manufacturers is just dumb.

No, no, I actually DO have it! ;) That's why I posted my Equipment Listing, because I looked through the List (it seems very inclusive and detailed) and could not find anything mentioning 'Proximity Unlock' or similar. I guess I'm just surprised that the option is not listed, because I most certainly have it. A gentle touch/pull of the driver door handle unlocks the cab.

It's officially called Keyless Enter N Go. You'll also find it listed as passive entry. From your equipment listing it's here:
