What size tire were you running on that 24?
I think he's running a 305/35. Pretty sure. I asked him the Sabre question a couple months ago.

Sick drop, dude. More pics definitely needed.

first test fit of my 5/12 drop and the 24s I just got, tire was touching the fender in pic and jack wasn't near all the way down lol, gona need a much smaller tire but also the rims may not fit due to offset but here is to crossed fingers :favorites13:

Hey bro what size tire were you running here. I compared tire sizes to my 22s I had on it. I ran 265/35/22s and my assumption is as long as the tire for the 24s stay the same height as the 22s I should be able to have clearance. Don’t quote me on it lol I found 265/25/24s are the same height though

305/35s are too big I’m sure he had clearance issues right?

Here’s a few pics I ran 275/45s on the 20s, 265/35s on the 22s, and on my old 17s I ran 235/65s up front and 275/60s in the rear.

Wtf happened to this setup and idea? Literally the best look I've seen on this truck. And it also reinforces the idea that 24s are the best looking size for these trucks.

Not to mention the wheels themselves are VERY good looking... Did you just not want to put the work in yet? Or were you not ready yet?

I thought you meant his black truck. From the post you quoted, it didn't seem like he actually ran the setup since it touched fender and wasn't even all the way down yet...

I see. Nice. Do you think 285/35r22 and/or 275/60r17 could be run at all 4 on a 5/7 without rubbing, or only on a 4/6?

The 275/60s on 17s all around would work I got a buddy of mine that ran them on his. Had a nice stance. As far as 285/35s I’m not really sure. It should clear on a 4” drop. Mine Sits at 5” and on 275/45/20s it barely cleared. Bumps equaled bottoming out on the inner fender. 285/35/22s are about an inch taller than the 275/45/20s

Ok, looks like I missed a bit here, the pic of my blue truck with the 24 on it, it was a 295/35/24, was way too big and like the drunken hamster said, i was test fitting and the jack was no where near all the way down, you would have to go to a super small tire on it to be at 5” drop up there, im on a 30 series tire on my 22” wheels, my 22s are custom cut for clearance as well, i stick with a 28” tall tire, so id look at what size 24 equals that height

Those wheels were way too wide, i didnt and dont want 24s on the front of my truck, a 24” wheel is too big on a 3g ram IMO, i have them on the black truck as you know and they look too big for me, on low rams im a fan of the 22/24 stagger, which I’ll probably go to a 24” wheel in the rear on my blue truck.

Also those wheels in the pic had some chrome corrosion on them as well

Ah, damn.

I agree if it's a single cab, but, imo a QC or bigger can rock 24's. 26's are the oversized option without being ridiculous, and 22's are the general safe bet.

Too bad on those wheels. They were absolutely stunning. Do you happen to know the brand and model of them, just or of curiosity?
