Magnaflow reversed as y pipe

Hello people,
Has anyone used a si/do maggie in reverse as a resonated y pipe? Kind of like a tru-x muffler. I changed my oem to a chambered muffler and its great minus that mds drone. I wanted to change the ypipe, but then thought of this idea. Might help drone? Thanks for your input. Long live RAM.

if you install it right where the Y is I think the exhaust is much hotter there and could damage the packing of the muffler. also the perforated core might give you some scavenging issue. If you extend the pipes to run it more in the back you will again lose scavenging because it work best when closer to the engine.

I would replace the factory Y, but use a small resonator (vibrant on amazon) or use an adjustable J pipe to tune out the drone.

If you don't mind about the MDS feature, just put your transmission in manual mode in the highest gear and MDS will not turn on.
