Hello all!

I am hoping that someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a 2015 1500 Express 5.7 8 speed Auto Crew Cab

I have searched google and the forums but I am getting some conflicting information.

Essentially I am looking for a schedule of when maintence should be performed.
I change my oil and oil filter on a set interval. I have 2 filtermags on the filter.

Also have an Oil Catch Can that gets dumped on set intervals.

I rotate my tires every 4500 to 5000. I have BFG KO2’s on there.

I have an AEM Dryflow drop in filter that I keep an eye on and clean when needed

What I am not seeing for my truck is

•Transmission fluid and filter flush (8 speed auto)

•Transfer case only states 120K but I have read conflicting numbers

•Spark Plugs @ 100k ( I am at 65k but do hear some pinging at WOT)

•Fuel Filter?

•Should coolant be earlier than 150k?

•When should rear diff be changed?

•Brake Fluid Change? (I changed the brakes once already but did not bleed after and have not opened the line to introduce any moisture)

•Any other recommended changes or preventive items I should keep an eye on or take care of?

You will get a hundred different answers.lol. I will change my spark plugs at Around 80000 Miles.
Diffs andTransfer case at 50000

Coolant at 60000 miles.

The 8 speed has a lifetime fill.as I have the
Ifetime warranty, I will leave it and let FCA deal with any issues that arise. Without the warranty, I would change trans fluid at ,70000. Not sure on the brake fluid.

If you go to the MOPAR website and register your VIN# it will give you a complete breakdown of maintenance intervals. I also believe it is listed in the Owner's Manual.

Thank you!
It looks similar to the manual i have as well which is good but it says to change trasfger case fluid at 120k which i feel like is a long time to go.
Also, I do not see anything about rear differential fluid.

From page 847:

1500 Models:

Inspect the front and rear axle

surfaces. If gear oil leakage is

suspected, check the fluid level.

If using your vehicle for police,

taxi, fleet, off-road or frequent

trailer towing, change axle fluid.

Yea they are just the Factory recommendations. You can for sure change any of them earlier. I just use it as a guideline for my absolute drop dead cutoff. Generally if I'm close on any of them and the truck is already in the shop for something else i just get it done as well.

OP,
As mentioned go to the owners site. It is FREE you put in your vin and it tracks the serve you do as well ! Plus if you do you won service you can add it. Also will tell of any recalls needed or missed !

Dang, seems great as I inherited a 2009 Ram Sport 4x2 with 130K miles on it, and know the person did regular maintenance on it themselves, but would love to see a list of anything that may not have been done and just do it now.

Unfortunately I quadruple checked the VIN number, using a picture from my phone, and I get: "We're sorry, we had a problem adding your vehicle. Please try again."

Maybe that site only works for newer vehicles past a certain year?

Edit: Oh, or maybe the VIN was already registered by the previous owner. Great tool anyway, thanks for posting.

Every truck I've owned in past 20 years (1 Ford, 2 Chevy's and now the Ram) are getting the same schedule. I usually keep my trucks to about 120,000-130,000 miles.

Oil and filter at 5,000 miles (regardless if synthetic, conventional or synthetic blend)
Transfer Case and Trans fluid at 60,000
Differentials (front and rear) at 60,000
Spark plugs at 80,000 - 100,000 (certainly by 100,000, but earlier if I'm feeling ambitious )
Serpentine Belt at 80,000 - 100,000 (usually do this when the plugs get changed)
Plug Wires at 80,000 - 100,000 ( do this with the plug change)
Air Filter at 30,000
Rotate tires every 10,000

I used to do all this maintenance myself. Have gotten complacent and will probably just pay the dealer to do it. Regardless, this had been a reliable service schedule for me.

What does everyone put down for "Service Provider" for DIY oil changes? I put the name of my side business, hah.
