Someone asked me on a forum how rare the maximum steel color was. Here is FCA's reply.

Thank you for contacting FCA US LLC.

VIN: xxxxxxxxxx70354

According to our records, there were 173 Ram 2500 Power Wagon Crew Cab 6'4" Box 4X4 units built in Maximum Steel Metallic Clear Coat paint for the 2018 model year.

Sincerely,
Joe

Wheel/tire specs please?
I will have to get more info on the offset. But they are 18 inch fuel wheels running 35x12.50 nitto terra grappler G2s. I actually bought the truck set up with these. I wanted to do a more aggressive tire but these things are honestly one of if not the best tire I have owned. In the rain and all summer they have been awesome. Now I am just waiting for my snow review of them.

Thanks. I'm going to be looking at getting Fuel Podium wheels in 18" w/ 35's. Just want to make sure I get the right width and offset.

Best offset to run on the 2500s for maximum clearance is +18mm. You can pretty much fit a 37" on stock suspension at that offset but if you offroad probably would stick with 35's.

How about width?

At the risk of losing my 5' 10" in height shotgun rider with the installation of taller 35" tires (currently have 34" with no complaints from her yet), what running boards are those on your PW?

Running your 34" did you have any rubbing or steering restrictions? Which 34" are you running?

It seems like going 34" tires might be easier and with fewer issues than 35". Thinking that extra inch with some white knuckle rock sliders might just be the ticket.

9" I wouldnt really run anything wider the 10/12/14 range is more for show and you wont find any of those in 18mm offset.

Not arguing here, however to give one example, Goodyear specs for a Duratrac 35X12.5/18 show an approved range of 8.5-11 but the measured rim width is 10". Ideally, wouldn't you want that width for that specific tire?
