15-24.jpg Hey Kevin. DiabloSport offers a MPG tune for their products that may help. My MegaCab gained almost 4 mpg highway with their Predator programmer and the standard 91 octane tune.

I used to be part of the mega cab club, but not anymore.

This was during a long day of work. It was a mess back in this ranch. We had about 4 people to pull out & get a bit skytrak forklift unstuck.

Kevin, I can't guarantee you'll get that improvement. A lot of variables are at work here. But I do wish you the best!

Speaking of MegaCabs...my 2007 is gettin' dirty again... :D

If I had something large to tow or haul, that ^^^^ would be the truck I'd go for.

yea me too that thing is sweet, right now i just have 2 4-wheelers to tow, so its not really worth trading in the hemi for a cummins even tho i really want one

Mine does more mild offroad stuff than towing so I'm with ya there.

Most of you I'm sure already know this but you have to be careful with towing with a mega, their payloads are goofy

Here is mine. Waiting to do the Carli steering upgrade, new control arms and a efan. Just ordered my mit tube and will be ordering my steering shaft soon.
There is alot of great looking Megas on here, so this should be a cool club. So glad I found out about this site. Alot of cool people and trucks here.

I like the look this truck. I wish I could find a grill to paint.

New to Mega Cab

Hey all, I have wanted a mega cab since they came out. Finally got one two weeks ago. Used of course. Now I am playing catch up on the basics. So will have a ton of questions.

Questions

First want to put out on limited budget. So with that said, I am playing catch up on maintenance on my girl. I changed the oil ( Valvoline 15w40 Blue) and fuel filter yesterday and lets say she was way the hell over due to the point I will change the oil again next weekend after it runs through a little then should be ok I hope. The fuel filter was pretty much black. So got me to thinking if the prior owner couldnt keep up with the basic care how bad is my tranny. No slippage or anything, thinking of being a coward and taking her to AMMCO and getting tranny flush, opinions?

Soon will be able to focus on the good stuff, Step side / Nerf Bars, Lights , front and rear bumpers and little things of that nature.

Welcome to Ram Forum and congrats on the new mega cab. Depending on mileage I would do a tranny flush to be safe.

New to me 2006 Ram

Add me to the list - just picked up a sharp 2006 MegaCab 4x4 with 67k and only one owner.
