I noticed the spare tire on my truck is a BFG Rugged Trail Load range E.....Should I be concerned with the tires that the car lot put on the truck They are the BFG Long Trail TA Tour - Crossover/SUV Touring All-Season light truck tire or will these be ok for everyday driving to and from work?

So I found a slow oil leak if you were Army would be a class 2. What scares me right now is where it is, front of oil pain behind Transmission, the bell housing of transmission blocks view up there but seen the drops forming on 2 of the oil pan bolts. First thought is aww crap rear seal. I dont know much about diesels.

Ok changed the rear seal. took 16 hours and a buddy 7 stitches. Learned drain Tranny fluid, have at least 7 quarts of tranny fluid on hand to replace. The Tranny mount did not want to line up afterwards properly was only able to get 2 of the 4 bolts back in place. But so far no oil leak, no tranny leak. Really dont want to do that again.

My buddy's dad has one does that count so I know a guy that knows a guy! Ill try and snap a pic of it. I love it. It's a 1500 mega cab with 8lug axels on it. Idk if that's stock for the mega cabs? All I know is I'm okay with riding in the back seat because there's tons of room lol

Edit: after viewing these pics it would appear that maybe that's a factory option!!

As long as you're just using it as a daily driver/extremely light loads, you should be fine. Keep in mind the truck weighs in just over 7k lbs empty.

It's actually not an option, it's stock. The Mega Cab is built on a 2500 Quad Cab Long Bed frame. All have 8-lug axles.

I think in 2006, when the mega cab came out, its base model was labeled a 1500, but was built on a HD frame and suspension. That might be why its a 1500 w/ 8 lug pattern.

Dead rock and mega hemi, thanks a lot for explaining that to me I appreciate it. I didn't know much about em before posting. That's a hell of a truck to have a 1500 on beefed up suspension though!
