No regrets here. Everything thing I wanted and more. The only dislikes are small and personal such as I wish the rear seats were a little further back for left room and from for the on long trips but once reclined the problem is solved.

It's a great idea but I'm not a fan of the look personally

I like mine a ton as well. Only thing I'd like is for the seats to slide back a bit for even more room! Seriously though, I've hauled 7K miles in mine in the last 2 1/2 months, including several trips with the back full of people, and it's been awesome.

I loved my mega cab, but my dog loved it even more. There's so much room back there when the seats are folded down.

I do think the cab looks a little Long when they're not lifted though. But once you get them 6-8 inches higher they look so perfect.

I have absolutely no complaints. I pretty much got the Ram because of the Mega Cab. I have been a Ford guy much of my life and if Ford had a MC type truck I probably would have gone that route. All the other stuff Ram offers on my Laramie I am glad I chose the route I did. So much nice than my father in laws F250 lariat.

Anyways, I bought the MC due to its cabin size. Vast majority of our family vacations we try to road trip rather than fly. We always pack "heavy" and have our 60lb Boxer with us if the destination allows pets. I also bring at least two pistols and a rifle on all my vacations and road trips. The extra space behind the rear seats allows for great rifle case storage and pistol cases. Much better in the cab than under cover in the bed. Our trips can be upwards of 4000 miles round trip so the reclining rear seats are very nice for this. Also, have you seen how freaking huge the area is if you fold flat the entire rear seats? It's enormous!

If you don't get a tonneau or like the looks of a bed toolbox the storage behind the seats is great for safety gear, tool boxes and other gear. I mentioned in a thread several months ago that I didn't understand why if you bought a 2500 why you got the regular CC and several people got a bit buthurt over my comment. Your only 12" longer/wheel base than a CC so turning radius is not much different and all other dimensions are same. Tiny bit reduction in tow and capacity but in the end 22,800 is a lot of weight either way you slice it.
Your also getting 3" more legroom for the rear passengers than on a CC.

Our family was after space and comfor for road trips. The MC was the best choice for our requirements. We will take our first family road trip from Socal to Missoula, MT next month and I will report back then if you haven't made a decision by them. Just my $.02 and your mileage may vary.

I liked the extra cab room and that huge flat deck when the seats were folded.

I hated the shorter bed.

Thanks I appreciate all the in put and keep it rolling! I love the HD trucks and it seems like everyone that has a mega cab loves it. I'm a family of 3 right now we have a 1 month old son, 60lb Aussie, 30lb cocker spaniel the back seat is tight with all of them in there. My biggest hesitation is taking a bath on my truck I don't want really want to start over on my loan. My biggest regret on my truck is not getting a crew cab.

The mega cab im looking at is a 2014(new) 3500 mega cab 4x4 with the standered slt options not upgraded, base gauge cluster, 5.0 u connect bench seat 18in wheels ect. It's the 5.7l, with 3.73(not a fan of that) but the rest of the truck is a upgrade from my express. There autotrader price is 35, msrp of 44k so I'm looking at 9k off before even walking in the door.

I don't know how you do it in a QC. I drive one for work and it is tight with several boxes, literature and hard hats, etc.

The price seems a bit steep, by a couple grand or so for what you described. But, if the interior features are better than what you have now you may enjoy it. The biggest catch for me would be the 5.7 and 3.73 in a one ton. That may be awful hard to sell next go around or less money on the trade in in the future.

Strictly speaking for myself, I would try to find a MC with more options or at least a 6.4 and try to stay close to $35 or so.if your truck is working well enough now I would want to go into debt for the truck you mentioned. Maybe wait for mid spring 2016 for a better equipped 2015 MC?

The 5.7 is the biggest issue with that truck, probably why it's still in the lot. I don't personally need huge towing capacity my 1/2 has done everything I have asked it to. Other than needing To pull 9k of bobcat and trailer I have been in the clear even at that my dad has a 3/4 diesel I'm going to use so I really don't need that big of truck I just want it.

I really should just not look and make due with mine, financially makes the most sense I would probably lose 2 on my truck. So the hit would be huge with the fact I put 4 down on it to start off with. So if you call the payments mute because driving cost something I'm still losing 6 and starting over a loan, that's a hard pill to swallow. Maybe in a few years thing will be different and I will get my big HD truck.

The 5. would be a deal breaker for me. I drove one before I bought my cummins and it was a dog.
