Thanks to retiredfireman, I will have the JBA titanium ceramic headers delivered next week!! I am wondering if anyone can tell me exactly what tools I will need to complete the job? I have new hardware coming from JBA and I am going to pick up the OEM gaskets next week. I also have jack stands and basic tools. And do I really need a torque wrench? Just trying to figure it out before i start tearing into it.

Different topic now. I am really wishing my BD tuner had fan control setting capabilities. Does anyone have the SuperChips tuner and if so, how well does it perform? I may be selling my BD and A-pillar gauge pod soon if BD doesn't add some options soon.

The DiabloSport tuners have those settings, but let Sean at Hemifever set them for you. You should look into getting the Trinity with HF custom tune. Almost everyone on this site will recommend it for the HEMIs. I love mine!

You don't need the Trinity tuner unless you want all that fancy extra crap it comes with. The Intune is just as good.

It will be shorty headers and i'm not really needing the custom tune, but the option of getting it is always a good thing. Really, I just want to be able to control the darn fan temp so I can put the E-fan on already! As far as the tune that the BD has, I'm pretty happy with it.

First- spray down the Y pipe bolts with penetrating oil a day before- get exhaust manifold bolts too. It will help a lot.

Also- use anti-seize on ALL of the head bolts- it will be easier to install .

I used two jack-stands, one floor jack- jack up the front end, put the jack-stands under the frame right where the trans cross-member comes across.

Remove the tires, and the inner fender liners- they come off using an 8mm and a Phillips screwdriver.
there are also the push in type plastic plugs that hold the fender liner in. You will break one or two- no big deal.
If you have a factory intake, there will be screw that hold the top of the fender liner in. On the driver's side- the screw will be into the bottom of the battery tray.

Use a socket- I cannot remember the size - to remove the Y pipe bolts.

then- use a 10mm to remove the bolts from the head
On the pass. side it will be easy- the driver's side-
well- be prepared to remove the shifter cable bracket, the steering column- separate it- and remove the dipstick- you'll need to re-bend it anyway.

Ok thanks for the info retirefireman! Looks like the headers made it today! I have to sign for them at the post office in the morning! I'm going on a lil vacation for a few days so hopefully I can get them on there Thursday.
