Hi all I'm new around here. Never modded a truck before and I'm interested in doing so to my 2014 Express. I love my truck but one thing I don't like is the bumpers, the front plastic "fascia" and the rear bumper scratch very very easily. After having it for over a year I think it's time for an upgrade and I've been given good prices on a Fab Fours steel replacement bumper in black powder coat. My only concern is the weight of the bumper is 250 lbs and I'd imagine I'd need a lift right? Just curious as to what you guys would recommend, and I definitely don't want to go crazy and lift my truck 5-6" if I can get away with 2-3 inches max I'd settle for that. I plan to put 35" tires on my truck as well. What do you guys think?

Also I'm torn between the fab fours with the grill guard and without (it's only a $30 difference). Thanks all.

Throw some Bilstein 5100 adjustables in the front and set them at 2.8, then throw a small spacer in the back so it isnt nose high and see what u think

I'd prolly do this, and for $30 more I'd get all the metal they'll give ya.

Apparently i have to get a mopar lift kit and have it done by the dealer ship to keep my warranty. 2" is $925 for the kit. How much would 2" get me really? I guess it would level the suspension?

Not sure who told you that but in most states a dealer cannot void your warranty unless they can prove whatever modifications you made caused whatever problem you are having. It would be hard for them to prove that considering they sell the exact same shock in there lift kit! I have the Bilstein 5100's on my truck set at 2.1 and have my truck to the dealer 4 times for warranty issues and it has never been mentioned.

Don't buy the mopar kit, it's a waste of money. You can have bilsteins installed for cheaper than that. I wouldn't go past 2.1 on them without changing the upper control arms though. That's another $100 for Mevotech UCA's. I wouldn't put a lift in the back quite yet either. That bumper is heavy, it'll drag the front end down a bit. See how much it does first. Drive around for a week to let the suspension settle and them measure it up to see if you need a rear spacer lift.

Thanks guys, I live in NY and I called around to about 3 different dodge dealer ships including where I bought my truck. One place says 4 inches is the limit the other says 2 and one says 3. Then they all claim having it done else where voids the warranty, that's obviously key for me. I too would think that as long as the lift doesn't damage the drive train then why would it void anything?
