So, I was looking at replacing the garbage stock MIT on my truck and was wondering if anyone has tried using the MIT from the AirAid Kit 302-277 and not the rest of the kit.

AirAid used to offer the MIT alone but for some reason they no longer do. I contacted their customer support and although the lady I spoke with was an idiot, I did get some of the information I was looking for....

You're able to contact AirAid Customer Service and re-order an individual part from the kit. The MIT would be part AIR-KIT237T. After them beating around the bush a bit, I just claimed to have been working on my truck and had to run to the auto parts store and backed over the tube and broke it and said I needed to order a replacement since I already had all the other necessary pieces and didn't want to have to re-buy the entire kit.

So, my next question which she wouldn't answer was if the MIT from that kit would fit the stock set-up as a replacement to the corrugated MIT. Has anyone done that or know if it fits properly?

Before anyone asks why I just wouldn't use the entire kit, IMO, the replacement intake isn't going to seal any better than the stock one and the real restriction is the airflow from the tube and nothing to do with the box or the overpriced filters.
