I'm looking at possibly purchasing an extended warranty from mopar for my ram 1500. Does anyone have experience with the warranty? I'm looking at something to cover major issues not really radio n stuff. I know i have the 5 yr 100000 mile powertrain and would like something to cover the "holes" in that coverage. What cost am I looking at n is it worth it?

the old warranty question... its basically a gamble you may need it you may not. the only reason i do on newer vehicles is since they are so computer controlled. if a computer goes out it can easily be over 1k for a new one.

You have to determine what the peace of mind of having it is worth to you.

I had a MaxCare warranty on my MegaCab, I have one on my 300 SRT8 and I have one on my CC.

The coverage paid off on both the MC and SRT8. While I hope nothing happens to the CC, having the warranty will eventually save me from a big repair bill.

You mentioned that you don't want it for the "radio and stuff" but in my opinion, it seems as if a lot of the issues beyond the B to B warranty are in fact electrical/computer ones.

The powetrains on these trucks seem to be fairly bulletproof. I purchased the extended warranty on my 14 2500 but I basically bought the one that extends the B to B for 7 years/160,000 km.

Lifetime max care with $100 deductible for me and I paid $2300. Not transferable but I plan on keeping this truck a very long time. It's paid off and only 12000 miles.

As others have said. I got it for my 2015 MC. Paid about $2475 or so. Too much can wrong on these/any high tech vehicles for me to not get it. All it takes is one fairly important item to take a crap and it paid for itself. Or several smaller items after 5-7 years old.

I bought mine from Zeigler but that was only because their price was listed as the old price from before May and it locked me in. Otherwise I was going to buy from ChryslerWarrantys.com. I posted this recently, hopefully the code is still good. I think they had the best pricing.

Chrysler extended warranty, Mopar Vehicle Protection and use PROMO CODE L88709

Thanks QwikKota, I tried this website. It quotes me $3056 for maxcare $100 deduct life time warranty. The code L88709 doesn't work. The price is much higher than the two quotes I got from other two websites I mentioned in my post.

Is it a 2500? Try factoryplans.com The price did go up about $200 compared to earlier in the year but $3k is too high if it's a 1500. 4wd may add some but I don't know. I paid $2300 which I think is a good deal. Anything over $2500 is too much IMO.

By the way, if you get a quote from the first website, in a few weeks they will email you a discount code like they did me.

If you're looking still.. the Mopar Added Care + package can be had with 7y/100,000 miles for around $1,250. While its not a full bumper to bumper.. it covers most everything you would need and is a pretty good value.

Howdy. New Ram owner and lovin it! Just traded a 2014 Durango for the 2015 Big Horn 5.7. My dealer quoted over $4k for the lifetime/$100 deductible so I've been shopping post sale. So far [email protected] has had the best quote at $2315 beating [email protected] by $200. These contacts came from the Durango forums but I haven't spent any time researching them yet. Riedman motors did send the Chrysler paperwork with sample warranty and looks legit on the surface. Should get my refund on the Durango warranty in a month or so then will figure out which route to go.
