Does the MDS ignition system upgrades need tuned. Or just plug and play?.

Does the MDS ignition system upgrades need tuned. Or just plug and play?.

The stock coils on your 14 put out more juice then the MSD coils do,and are good to well over a 1,000 hp.Save your money unless you just want them for looks. When they went to iridium plugs,the coils got upgraded at the same time,and are of better quality then the majority of aftermarket coils.Check out a few of the high performance Challenger/Charger sites,those guys don't start thinking about replacing the stock coils till they're well above a 1,000 rwhp

As @Wild one said, the stock coils are pretty solid pieces. I have used the stock coils from the 2009+ 5.7/6.4 motors on every single one of my builds. This includes 600HP naturally aspirated motors to up to 1100HP supercharged/turbocharged motors. They just work. The coils output voltage is really stable even with extended dwell times and can keep up with almost anything that you can throw at them.
