Multi-Displacement System

My buddy just bought a new 2013 ram 1500 which has Multi-Displacement System. The dealership told that every 1500 truck since 2004 has it. Is there a way to tell by the VIN if my truck has this system. I have found some information a a few different websites, that this was just for 2wd 1500 reg cab, quad cab, and crew cab not Megecab. Is this true? If so can some recommend a tuner to try to up the MPG?

i dont know the answer to your megacab ?..but most people either choose a diablo trinity or the bullydog hemi plus tuner...i went with the trinity but thats because i have a custom tune..im not too worried about fuel milage so idk how their pre loaded milage tune is

Well dealer is wrong on the years, came out in 2006. Mega cab did not receive mds

I have a 2011 sport quad cab 5.7l with the mds if that helps.
