Multi Function Tailgate

Greetings, my new 1500 Ecodiesel is in shipped status on the way to my dealer. Question: I ordered the multi-function tail gate, is it possible to open the individual sides with a camping trailer hitched up?

Your tongue jack will probably be in the way, it depends on how long your hitch is. On my 2500 with the equalizer 4 point hitch and shank, I can drop my regular tailgate with a few inches to spare.

I measured for a trailer I was planning to tow, motor box on jack was in the way. Just have to see once you get truck hooked to trailer. How exciting, your new truck is almost there. Enjoy the ride!

Don't know yet, my truck is on the train to Oregon and my trailer won't be delivered until April.

You can't open the passenger side without first opening the driver side. You might be able to partially open the driver side to get to the release for the passenger side. Then you'd need to make sure the driver side is open enough to let the passenger side close without making contact. Seems pretty awkward, but might be do-able LOL.
