From what I've read already on related threads regarding the Electronic Tailgate Latch asy it looks like quite a few folks have been experiencing issues with this. Add my name to the list. 2020 Laramie 1500. Been trouble free up until the other night. It will unlatch and open and other times it will make a sound but not unlatch or release. Sometimes by
pushing gently on the tailgate and operating the release handle it will magically release and open. I have also found when it does not release you need to push the gate in until you hear the latch click. Now try again. My question is do I need to replace both the lock latch mechanisms? Sometimes it works and sometimes not. Most times no but I have figured out a way I think to get it to release and open. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Bill.
