This is my 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport 5.9L. Bought this back in 2011 and has been through a lot, and just started restoring her. Full leather interior, rusty fenders and rear wheel wells. Hit a tree last winter(slid down an icy hill, absolutely 0 braking, just freaking slid non stop and hit a tree at about 15mph... destroyed grill and bumper).

Bought a 2001 Ram 1500 Laramie for the rear doors, and head lights and tail light(my passenger got busted at some point). Paid $500 for that truck, and decided against the headlights as they were stock and not my style, so started parting it out. Bought a 1998 1500 Laramie SLT 2 door (both donor trucks were 4wd) for taillights as the ones off the 2001 had some adhesive sun-bleach discoloration, and I wanted to put better OEM taillights on it. Paid $500 for that truck too lol! Was just ******** around on FB, and came across ANOTHER 2nd gen ram (1999 2500 sport) that had the blue grill in pic attached, and awesome aftermarket head lights, as well as a set of tires that are gonna sell for like $600 local, and only paid $500 for that one too!!! That one was a 5.9 gasser, and the drivers door and passenger door were fully repaired with a patch panel, and would have used those on this truck but it had the vin from the 2500 so didn't want that. Will be taking bumper frame from the 2500 and using my plastic on it(just one big crack in it, easily fixable) and reusing once frame is swapped) The 2500 also had decent fender flares on it, which I intended on buying, and decided to put those on mine instead of buying brand new until I do a panel repair.

I sold one trans (all 3 donors have the 46RE) and kept the other 2 to rebuild. One will stay in the pole barn as an "Oh **** there went the trans!" and the other will be sold when done.

OK, so that was a lot, and probably kind of jumbled, but it was the chronological turn of events that led to me owning 4 2nd Gen Rams, 2 Laramie SLT and 2 sports. Needless to say, gonna have a ton of **** for sale haha.

Everything done to my truck in the last 18 months:
New ECM
Engine Tune Up(spark plugs, wires, distributor, coil)
Swapped Air filter for Cold Air Intake
New Radiator
New Trans Cooler
New Cooler Lines
New Tires
New Windshield
Upgraded Leaf Springs to 2,600lbs capacity per side
Added a 4" lift to rear springs
Swapped to a Dana 60 Rear End
New Driver's side and Passenger side wheel hubs
New Tailgate
New Brakes all around
New U-Joints on Driveshaft
New Brake Lines all around
New Heavy Duty Receiver Hitch

SOON TO BE DONE
New dash top or cover at least
Front bumper repair
Headlights put on from the 2500 I purchased
Fender Flares Installed
Fender patch repairs when I get time
Trans Swap if I get the rebuilt one done anytime soon.

Sounds like fun. I love the 2nd gen body. Had a '98 CC w/5.2l. Drove it till it wouldn't drive no more. 20170506_063545.jpg

Looks like you've got a hill to climb, but I can't wait to see the progress!
