Well I got my shorty antenna put on today! Went with a 12" one, looks good just havent tried seeing if I get good reception with it yet or not! I see some of you guys painted the dull base, but did you paint it on there or remove it first? If you removed it, how do you go about doing that? Thanks in advance!

don't paint it on there.

I didn't remove mine to paint, I bought a new one. It cost a whoppin' $0.74

Gave it to my painter, said - do it.

To remove it, unscrew the chrome nut at the top, and it comes right off.

Just found out on google too lol..said to use a screw driver & hammer to tap lose that chrome thing..wonder if I should color match or paint it black??

Did a full wash/detail on my truck today! I should be a spokes person for Armor All because I love their products! I've also been tossing back and forth the idea of starting up a business on the side of detailing cars! It something I love to do! Anyways 4 hours later here are the results...

Yeah man im all for it! Lol..I do friends & families vehicles now, but I wouldnt mind branching out and going bigger. Getting a trailer, pressure washer, etc! Right now I get $50-$75 per vehicle depending on the vehicle, and thats a full detail. However I do use their water, so if I got my own I could charge more.
