Hmmmm thought the General was coming out the following Monday to inspect and confirm. Would have thought they would have set a demo date, subject to weather.

Yeah he was supposed to be here Monday and nobody showed. Been checking cameras daily to see if anybody came and nobody has come out all week. Of course my builder says this week now [emoji57]. Getting really frustrating because this shop is going to be the reception area for my wedding which is now less than 3 month away. Shop was supposed to be done in February

Ok got some updates and good outcomes. So I got my buddy to make the 2 hour drive to my house to check my slab so i could have the opinion of a guy i can trust who i know knows what hes talking about. He checked for scaling and there was none so then he said to really check the slab he will need to drill a few holes so I said go right ahead, and the slab is good. It didnt freeze, they just didnt use nearly enough joints to control the cracking. So after being reassured that the slab is perfectly solid and structurally perfect, I started working on my builder and the concrete company. I got them to say yes they will take the slab out and repour at no extra cost if that's what I want, or they said they will fill all the cracks and sand it down, then acid wash the slab and put some marble coating on it all for free and I'm only paying 3k for the slab, so I went with that and I'm really happy now haha. He showed me some pictures of this coating they use and it looks really nice and clean. So I'm not even paying for the full cost of the acid wash and coating and I'm getting it done plus the slab for free basically. They are supposed to be out Monday to start that.

So after we got that settled they started working again. Got the back wall up and got electrical going. Hes got all my outlets started (I got a lot of them lol) including the ones on the ceiling that will have pull downs and got the electrical for the lights started. It's starting to almost look like a shop 7df43874b693dfae81d4edc28a3018ec.jpg8658a36aa7479d0a5aaa6b416de610e1.jpg

Progress is really good finally! They got over half the siding finished today and electrician got some more wiring done. Hard to see in pictures but every wall is lined with quad box 110's that are all going to be 20 amp and then next to each 110 has either a single 220 or a double 220 all 30 amp except two which are 50. Also have 3 outlet boxes up on the trusses that will have drop downs. Each row of lights are separately switched, the guy only set up for 4 lights and he was supposed to do 6 so I talked to him and he will be adding two more. Found some KILLER LED shop lights, super bright 4 would be plenty but I said screw it I want 6 for overkill lol separately switched so itll be great when I want that extra bit of light for detailing or whatever. My builder has a 50 x 50 shop and he has only 4 lights and he showed me, they work amazing. I'll post a picture of what lights they are when they come. He also is wiring in my entertainment area for t.v. and internet and will also be wiring for ceiling mount speakers 6da7fc21fac3a90adabe7353a0e807cd.jpg0ee85e7c1431e8060014d98affe12306.jpg719b4831087c9cea96bbc7af607dcd39.jpg7a1f0d174561a13122b72a810e50dd2d.jpg7588f36f8bd10299583e7a91e74c8ec0.jpg45ad891b9677a615bc40aca1a4df6009.jpg2b49e07f0fc4a56d0fde0a043e0043c5.jpge6a3b4db1604ce59c3c37879ab400d82.jpg

Ram, best thing I heard today. That electrical work is from an electrician that takes pride in his work.

So jealous man, you are gonna have one heck of a shop! Cant believe you are getting all that for what you quoted. My quotes have been thru the roof for everything lol. One thing I learned from finishing the inside of my garage tho with those double plastic gang boxes is that they have some flex to them especially further you get out from where they mount. I didn't really notice til I had my back wall already done so on my side walls before the wall I cut wood spacers and stuck them behind so when you go to plug things in the outlet doesn't push back into the wall

What are you using for insulation?
I'm not sure, my wife is the one doing that because insulation is what she runs in our company. I think she said blow in for certain areas and then foam board for others but dont quote me I dont really pay attention lol she knows like a hundred times more than me about insulation so whenever she talks to me about it I'm just like whatever you say babe [emoji23]
