So i tinted my front windows and about 4 to 6 inches of my windshield. Even though im still not sure im gonna keep the windshield section im not sure its gonna stick. Lol i think it was the guys first time because in the mid section of the strip it was peeling but he said if it peeled i could take it back. Anyways, he said that if u used windex on the windows even after the the 3 day wait for drying it would eventually make the tint purple. Does anyone know if thats true? I really like the way the tint looks. I had to do 30% Because he said 25% was not typical to have in stock. :-/ he had 20 and 30 :-/

This is a better exterior view. I see some bubbles by the sides of the windows but ill wait to see if they settle in the next couple days. I really like having better sun protection thats for sure. I will make sure to do right regarding cleaning material.

I have a tint strip going down about 5 or 6 inches with 5% on it. Why didn't you go darker?

Did you have your windows tinted today? If so that truck needs to sit in the sun as much as possible. The bubbles will eventually work themselves out, as long as it gets as much sun as possible. I cant see the eye brow all that great so I cant tell you anything about that.
Only use ammonia free cleaners
My buddy owns a tint shop, although I am not him, I know a little something about it
My truck has 5% all around with a 14" 5% eyebrow

Looks nice.

Thanks!

You know thats a good question. I guess between him saying "absolutely no warranty on 20%", and trying to decide whether to actually addthe strip, when i decided to go with the 30% it just didnt click to go any lower :-/

so he missed the top edge?

He sure did. I hate calling people out on details like that. I can definitely tell from the inside, but not from the outside. I might take it back to them during the week. It was a bit tense today as there was some lady upset about an alarm and causing a big scene. This is a local (very small) shop i went with so maybe on my next visit it will be a bit different. Im pretty sure he noticed leaving out the edge.

It was in the sun for the remainder of the day (about 4 hours). I will take a pic tomorrow of the strip from the front. 5% must be very cool, but 14" dont mess with your driving visibility? Ide oike to see something like that.

Thanks for all the replies!! :birgits_tiredcoffee

I would def take it back, cuz I mean, thats the whole point of the brow, to block the sun out, and the sun is gonna peek through that edge and bother you for the rest of the time you own the truck lol or it would me anyhow

I totally agree. Its just i can tell the guy is new at this and really doesn't know his stuff. And maybe i should just know better and just take it to someone else for them to do the strip. But I'l probably give it a shot during the week. The other thing is they put their company logo between the tint and i dont like how it looks! LOL

yeah, they definitely shouldn't have left it peeling like that. I could see it in the pic. It is hard tho to go over that dot matrix thing or whatever they call it with tint. When I had mine done they told me I could possibly have trouble with it but I never have yet and it's been on for 4 years.
