I have a 2024 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn with about 22,000 miles. Overall, I'm very happy with the truck so this is a minor issue compared to others. But about two weeks ago my windshield washer spray wasn't working. I noticed the water was spraying, but the lines were disconnected and the water was falling harmlessly to the pavement. I brought it to the Dealer just a few minutes from my home and they said it's a common problem - the system is designed to disconnect the lines when the lines have too much pressure. He said the Rainx windshield washer fluid products are often the culprit and cause the pressure to build within the lines. True, for my last replacement I used Rainx. However, two weeks later it happened again during my drive this weekend from Huntsville, AL to deep south Louisiana, yet no Rainx was used. (getting warmer, so lots of squished bugs). I took it back to the dealer where it was fixed again in about 10 minutes. He could not explain why it happened again but said they could repair it at no cost until I have 36,000 miles and out of warranty. He could not explain why they can't repair this issue so I can avoid coming in every two weeks.

Has anyone had any luck with a permanent fix?

If they are just pushing the plastic tube back on the nipple, they are not fixing the issue. The tube needs to be replaced.

As for any brand causing something like this, I would wave a yellow flag. Unless it is thicker then water, then I doubt it caused the issue.

I would ask them to replace the tube, and make sure it is tight on the nipples.

Yup. This: ^^^^^^^

(in fact, ask them to replace the hoses AND the nozzle which keeps disconnecting. If they continue to claim “too much pressure” tell them to replace the PUMP.) doh

Chances are: The hose end has enlarged where it’s been shoved over the nozzle-stub. Unless that damaged hose is replaced the problem will repeat itself.

Blaming the liquid is no more valid than blaming the gasoline brand you use. Ask them where you can buy Mopar gasoline so you can avoid fuel system problems. (Maybe the numb-skull will realize you’re onto him. Maybe not.)

I had that problem after a hard freeze in Georgia of all places. I fixed it myself. Just pop a few retainers off the hood heat shield towards where the hose is. It had disconnected on the left side (facing the front). Just popped it back in place.

I went through this with another FCA vehicle and the tubing got caught at the hood and was ripped apart at a connector. I had to fix it a couple times with various connectors and hose lengths before I got it. If you have even basic DIY skills you should be able to figure it out. Just look under the hood at where the tubing runs and see if it's getting caught or where it's pulling apart. IMO, not worth a trip to the dealer... especially if it's out of warranty. As for a certain fluid causing the problem? I've got to give that a big LOL.

EXACTLY what happened to me over here in Texas also. Had a Hard-Freeze.
After temps warmed up…and went driving…..Squirters started puking the fluid under the hood instead of thru the nozzles.
Popped the insulation down under the hood…found the hose which had disconnected…shoved it back onto the nozzle. Problem solved!

seems fishy

When I worked in a body shop decades ago ,I made an error, with some of those hoses putting a car back together. Not on purpose We checked out everything as usual, before having the customer pick their car up.Everything was checking out, including the washers.
Long story, but , he came back a week later and one washer was spraying at an angle and missing the, windscreen totally, and perhaps washing passing vehicles ,it was that bad.The hose I installed was too short so when you openned the hood the hose yanked turned, the nozzel 90degrees.The nozzels normally get pushed into a form fitting hole in the hood, and can't actually turn, but this one did .The fix was a longer hose(89CENTS) .Not a big deal, but we likely lost a customer with that COMEBACK.The dealer should admit they screwed up and fix for FREE,even years later. It is an easy fix I can't believe you have to go back all the time.
