Hey everyone. I hope you all are well. Thanks for taking time to click my link. I have a 2013 Ram 1500 that I’ve been modding. Currently I’m in need of assistance. I have some electrical/tuning? things I’d like to have someone look into maybe a reputable shop or skilled individual in the Georgia area, I’ll drive.

A couple issues are things I maybe created durind the various work i’ve done. To give an example I’m attempting to turn off the coolant señor for the 3 way bypass valve. I don’t have that option on my engine harness same thing with AGS. If I could get help in this area I would gladly appreciate it. In the future I plan on HP tuners but for now I’m AlfaOBD’n it. Thanks again here’s a pic of my truck

AlfaOBD won't turn off either of those. Actually, you cant change any real function like those with Alfa. Those are HP tuner type mods./

To eliminate the AGS on my truck, I removed the AGS shutters and disconnected the actuator from shutters. I then modded a bracket to the actuator motor and left connected to harness so that computer thinks AGS is still there and and calibrated. Works perfectly.

Thanks for the reply. I don’t have a connector on my engine harness - my truck is a project in every sense of the word. Without the connect I guess my only option is hp tuners. Is a base remote tune possible for a 2014 Ram 1500 RT? What do I have to do to get some one to help me with that. Time is money, for the service I’ll compensate.

If you don't have the connector in the harness, is it a replacement harness from a different truck that didn't use AGS?

If not, why a concern about the AGS?

Unlike the Diablo, the HP tuners do not include a "base or canned tune", but a base tune from a remote tuner can be had for $$$. They will usually do an extra tweek on it for nothing after it's been run for a while..

A canned tune won't include stuff like the the AGS delete, that is a requested tweek, but can be done at home with the HP. Using a Diablo, that can't be done at home because they won't make the software available to public, like HP does.

You'll need to purchase 1. the tuner 2. An unlocked ECM 3. The tune itself. (plus a transmission tune, if you want one of those, too)

2013 does not require an unlocked PCM.

I have a 2013 - I swapped a 2014 pcm - 2015 bcm - 2015 8hp70 - 2018 Laramie interior with a 2018 8.4 uconnect - bunch of other stuff here and there. Now I’ve got two CELs - Coolant bypass valve/sensor & AGS

I’d like to remove them so my remote start will work and not shut off after sensing the check engine like. I’m guessing HP Tuners is the way to go. Time to start saving - again

Hard to find a 2013 with A pcm that came with a 8hp70 mines was for the 65rfe - They have the architecture/cabling but ultimately I had to search for a 2014 pcm & engine harness and the firewall to cabin engine harness that brings communication from the tcm located in the 8hp70 to the bcm so they will properly talk. If you’re doing a 8hp70 on a 2013 and up you will need that cable or it won’t work. Your truck won’t recognize you have a transmission - just an fyi for the diy’er
