I liked it but it doesn't seal up the best. Wasn't a big issue on the old truck with spray in liner but it makes a mess of the bedrug...

What did you end of switching to?

Haven't updated my build thread with my latest mods so here goes.

8/21/14: 1.25" Bora wheel spacers. Installed them in just a few minutes and they fit perfect. Very happy with them and the truck looks a lot better with the wheels pushed out. I hated the look of them tucked in so far. The stock wheels have a +19.05mm offset and with the 1.25" spacer, they are now -12.7mm. I think a 1" spacer up front might have been a little better, but I still like the look. The rear is flush with the flares and the front sticks out a hair. I'm pretty sure I'd have to cut the studs with a smaller spacer though.

You can also see the Morimoto DRLs that I installed as well. These were take-offs from the old truck.

9/12/14: Undercover LEX painted bed cover. These come pre-painted from the factory and it looks and fits great, very happy with it. I installed it myself in just a few minutes. Took longer to get my old Rollbak cover off than to install this one. Here's a couple crappy pics, ignore the dirty truck...

More bed cover pics. Truck is still filthy and the undercover decal is still on. Maybe one day I'll take care of that.

It does hide dirt pretty well. It's absolutely filthy and still looks good from a short distance. Way better than black. The black two tone is more than enough black paint for me. I love this color, it really pops in the sun when it's clean. My second favorite color is Max Steel, which I have on my wife's Jeep.

Thanks for sharing the link to this thread... a few weeks ago. If you remember, we are the ones who just ordered a 2015 truck almost exactly like yours.

It's great to see ~pretty much~ what ours will look like. I skimmed through this entire thing and I see you mentioned that you DO have the longer bed, too. So really, the only thing that will look different when ours arrives is that we ordered the 20" black wheels.

Rhino lining, black step rails, and those hard Ram mud flaps will be installed before we bring it home.

And we are thinking of ordering that Truxedo cover from Amazon (great reviews, and only $299):
Amazon.com: TruXedo 246901 TruXport Soft Roll-Up Dual Latch Tonneau Cover: Automotive

The ONLY thing my husband is missing with the Outdoorsman is the dual exhaust. I know he is going to want to do that, eventually. I will have to show him yours and see if he likes it. The concern he had with changing the exhaust is that he wants to make sure we don't do *anything* that will cause any warranty issues. Any idea if this is a valid concern or not?

Thanks again for sharing! Obviously, your truck is awesome. :)

Thanks for the kind words traveler! I think you will be very happy with your truck. I'm about to hit 15k on mine.

On the exhaust, it's not going to effect warranty at all except for the parts you swap out. They would have to prove that the exhaust modifications caused whatever failure, and assuming it was installed correctly, isn't a concern in my mind. I like the side exit because it's different. The majority of the Rams come out of the factory with dual exhaust so it's nice to have a little change.

I do like that bed cover, especially the price. I'm interested in seeing how you like it and how water tight it is. I'll be needing something different here soon that allows easier bed access without having to remove a hard cover. (see below)

Unfortunately, the truck will most likely be up for sale in the next few months. My work is retiring our existing company cars and going with trucks this time around. As of now, it looks like I'll be getting a 4wd Outdoorsman most likely in monotone white, so I'm pretty happy about that. Pretty sure it will be the shorter bed though, which I can live with. Good news is the new truck won't have a payment and comes with a fuel card :D. I won't need two trucks in the driveway so mine will be sold. Bad news, I won't get to mod the company truck... That's going to be tough. Haha

Oh, man! You can't beat getting a company truck for free, though. And free gas?! What a sweet deal. Congrats! :)
