Hi friends,
My truck has the big alternator from Factory and I would like to utilize the output a little more effectively at idle. The truck has additional electronics for offroad use such as additional lights, a winch and 2nd battery.
I would like to be able to put the truck into 'charging mode' by lifting up the idle speed temporarily with a switch to around 1500-1700rpm. Eventually I would like to change out the alternator pulley to make it spin faster.
Searching around for any pre existing kits didnt yield any information so I'm assuming I'll need a potentiometer or some resistors to adjust the voltage from the 'gas peddal' to the computer.
Has anyone ever done something like this, have a schemarice for throttle control or have any general feedback/advise on this project?
Thank you
